About Tico Brothers
Tico Brothers Sport Fishing is dedicated to making your experience here in Costa Rica one of your most memorable. Mikey and Swen Zaugg, co-founders of Tico Brother Sport Fishing, are fishermen, surfers, divers and overall watermen who have spent their entire lives on the shores of Costa Rica.

Captain Swen
Surfer, fisherman, adventurer
Swen is a professional surfer who has been pursuing his passion for surfing, fishing, and motocross since he was old enough to walk. When he’s not traveling around the world to the best surf breaks he’s still out on the water back at his home in Malpais, Costa Rica to provide amazing tours to all of you. With an endless smile and sense of adventure, Captain Swen will provide you with a memorable experience out on the water.
Captain Mikey
Surfer, Fisherman, chef, guide
Mikey is a professional surfer who has been playing in and around the water here in Malpais since he was born. In his free time, you’ll find him running his own restaurant, leading ATV tours and teaching surf lessons. With years of experience fishing and surfing around the world, the ocean is home for Mikey. With his tan-skin as evidence, Mikey was destined to be outside for a living and leading these boating tours for you all brings him great joy.
